Golfcart accident sends race fan to hospital

SEBRING – There were no arrests at the Mobile 1 12 Hours of Sebring Wednesday or Thursday, according to the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
There was an accident, however, at about 7 p.m. Thursday. It occurred in the north paddock area and involved a person falling out of a golf cart. The victim was injured and transported by AEROMED to Tampa General Hospital, and was still there as of 4 p.m. Friday.
The Sheriff’s Office said the incident did not appear to involve alchohol.
