ELSIE PATTON

Elsie Faye Patton, age 79, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012. She was born on July 29, 1933 in Miami, Fla. to Julius and Juanita (Smith) Strickland and had been a resident of Sebring since 1981, coming from Ochopee, Fla. She was a homemaker, a member of Crewsville Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship of her church.

She loved to travel, loved dogs and having chocolate.

She is survived by her husband, James P. Patton of Sebring, Fla.; daughters, Chris Stoddart (Jack) of Sebring, Fla., Sara Peters (David) of Sebring, Fla., Ellen Harmon (Lynn) of Sebring, Fla., Missy Sands (Mike) of Homestead, Fla., Pam Collier (Dwayne) of Sebring, Fla., and Candace Payne (Kelsey) of Sebring, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Johnson, and a brother, Larry Strickland.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Crewsville Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
