SFSC Corporate Education offers Smartphone and Tablet workshops

AVON PARK - South Florida State College's Corporate and Community Education Department is offering smartphone/tablet workshops will be held for Android and Apple users this spring.

Workshops will consist of a series of discussions on basic smartphone/tablet features and benefits followed by demonstrations showing actual smart device usage on a large video screen. Participants will learn the major components of smartphones and tablets and how to use settings to manage device setup, to set appointments and alarms in a calendar, store names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses in contacts, and how to send and receive email with attachments (photos or documents). Attendees will be given handouts showing typical smartphone/tablet screens and buttons and will follow along with instructor demonstrations.

The Android Smartphone/Tablet workshop will be offered from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday at SFSC Highlands Campus. The Apple Smartphone/Tablet workshop will be offered from 1-5 p.m. Thursday at the SFSC Highlands Campus. The cost is $35.
