Banner Adpublished: Friday, February 08, 2013 Raceway officials looking for videographers By BARRY FOSTER News-Sun correspondent SEBRING - Have you ever fancied yourself a videographer? Someone who could capture the very essence of an event through the lens of a camera? This year, five lucky fans will have that opportunity to chronicle the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh from Florida. The Sebring International Raceway and GoPro again this year will conduct the GoPro Ultimate Fan contest. For the balance of the month, fans will be allowed to submit essays detailing what makes them the most qualified to grab all the sights and sounds of the 61st running of the grand prix of endurance using a GoPro video camera. In all, five finalists will be selected - each will be chosen to present their unique perspective. Each then will receive a GoPro camera to be used to record their experience during this year's race. After this year's checkered flag, the fireworks and the end of the once-around-the-clock competition, finalists will submit their footage to Sebring International Raceway. The videos will then be uploaded to Sebring's Official YouTube Channel to be judged by the fans. The video with the most views during a specified time period will be given the title "2013 GoPro Ultimate Fan Experience." The winner will receive a race prize package including two Four-Day Supertickets and Paddock Car Parking to the 62nd Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, a commemorative poster from this year's race, their Profile as the 2013 GoPro Ultimate Fan in the 12 To Go e-mail newsletter and a number of other great items both from GoPro and Sebring International Raceway. Those who wish to enter need to get started. The entry deadline is midnight Feb. 28. Essay submissions can be no longer than one page in length and should be sent via e-mail to dgourley All submissions must include the entrant's full name, address, phone number and email. ![]() Small Banner Ads |
