SEBRING - On Dec. 30 at approximately 7:29 p.m. the Highlands County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a robbery at M&H Food Store at 2532 State Road 17 South. The clerk working in the store reported a black male suspect, approximately 6-foot tall, wearing a parka style jacket with a hood and armed with a handgun robbed the store.
According to reports, the suspect fled the scene with scratch-off lottery tickets and an undisclosed amount of currency.
The clerk was not injured in the robbery, deputies said.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are currently pursuing leads to identify the suspect in this robbery. Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Roger St. Laurent at 402-7447.
