Fern H. Eures, 92, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Sebring. She was born Oct. 5, 1920 to Walter and Sarah (Myers) Hygema in Goshen, Ind., and had been a resident of Sebring since 1925, coming from Indiana. She was office manager for the family business, Highlands Plumbing Company in Sebring, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Elks and Sebring Woman's Club. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed entertaining guests in their home and international travels.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ernest Eures in 1995 and by her two sons, Terry and Ernie Jr. She is survived by two grandsons, Bruce and Matt Eures; granddaughter, Jolene Eures; and one great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Pinecrest Cemetery, Sebring, with Rev. Darrell Peer officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church of Sebring, 319 Poinsettia Ave., Sebring, FL 33870. Arrangements have been entrusted to:
