ROSEMARY SCRUGGS
Rosemary P. Scruggs, age 88, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 in Sebring, Fla. Ms. Scruggs was born in Prairie du Chien, Wis. on Jan. 25, 1925 to Laurence and Isabell (Martelle) Lucas. Ms. Scruggs was a bookkeeper for a trucking business and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She had been a resident of Avon Park since 1962, coming from Prairie du Chein, Wis. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She loved to cook, watch the Tampa Rays, and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Alan Pohle of Germantown, Md.; grandchildren, Laura Richardson (Dean) of Avon Park, Fla., Leslie Simpson (Thomas) of Avon Park, Fla., and Leah Heiring of Tampa, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren. Ms. Scruggs was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter - Judith Lynn Heiring; brothers - Eldon and Laurence; sisters - Ursula and Doreen.
