James Edward Wolford Sr., 76, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 in Sebring, Fla. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y. to Cyril and Margaret Wolford. Mr. Wolford served in the United States Army from 1954-1957. Mr. Wolford was a graduate of Onondaga Community College with an associate's degree retiring from a career in finance from M&T Bank. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, VFW and American Legion. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was always thinking of others. Mr. Wolford was a resident of Sebring since 2002 coming from New York.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly Wolford of Sebring; his children, James Wolford Jr. and Karen Nicholas (David) of New York and David Wolford (Theresa) and No'elle Stoll (Shawn) of Florida; sister, Carole Bush (WM, Skip) of Maryland; and grandchildren, Eric Nicholas, Matthew Nicholas, Noa Stoll and Tabitha Wolford.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church in Avon Park, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepard Hospice.
