SEBRING -- For the third year, Visions ADT held its St. Valentine's Day talent show and fashion show. For the second year it was held at Sebring Middle School. Gina Hitt's class also took part.
The participants are not average, every day people. Living with curtailing conditions or diseases, like Down syndrome or cerebral palsy, they are examples of determination and courage.
"They have taught me strength," said Barbara Cook, Vision's director. "They live with chronic pain and live with not being able to do some things.
"I give God praise and thanks for them, and thanks to the parents to let them enjoy something like this."
Many of the participants danced, some moving their feet while leaning on a walker. Others sang. Heather Paeplow demonstrated Judo by splitting a board with a sharp chop, and Antonio Bostick, waving a wand, made a volunteer disappear.
"Everyone is a winner," said Latrell Gordon-Morris, as she announced the Queen and King and their court.
Beth Blanchard was crowned queen; Travis Moss king. Their attendants are Annie Mchale, Heather Paeplow; James Carroll and Brian Harrison.
