New Concepts can help with pool alarms

Special to the News-Sun

SEBRING - Have you known anyone who drowned in a backyard pool or pond? - or someone whose pet accidently drowned?

Each year Highlands County experiences the tragedy of another precious person lost to drowning. You don't have to be part of this statistic.

You can help prevent such a tragedy with a pool patrol that sounds an alarm if children or pets fall into your pool. The pool alarm will sound both in your pool and in your house up to a distance of 200 feet. The remote receiver has an on/off switch and the alarm in the pool is battery powered.

A pool alarm may not mean much to you, but if just one alarm can save the life of one person or pet, isn't it worth it? Maybe you know someone who would like to receive this as a gift.

To find out how you can help prevent this unnecessary tragedy and save half the cost of what you would expect to pay in a retail store, call New Concepts by Visions at 402-0048 or visit them at 4141 U.S. 27 North.

New Concepts by Visions is a nonprofit organization founded with the mission of bridging the gap in services that exists for individuals with disabilities, veterans and persons over 60 in Highlands County.
