AVON PARK - Historic, restored downtown Avon Park is welcoming Robert P. Schuler, doing business as Sherco Inc. surveying services to 16 N. Lake Ave.
Sherco is now open for business in the renovated Arcade at the historic Hotel Jacaranda. Sherco and Bob are in the office from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. He can reached also by telephone, 453-4113, and cell phone, 443-6230.
Bob Schuler is following in the footsteps of his late father, Harold, who operated in Avon Park in the same profession for 11 years (1975-86) before retiring.
Sherco will offer full services, ranging from residential to commercial and construction. They are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System) and perform topographic surveys as well.
Schuler operated a firm as a registered land surveyor in Miami from 1975 to 1991 before coming to Highlands County where his parents Hal and Patricia were residing. He then joined a large engineering and surveying firm. He resides in the city of Avon Park with his wife Sharon.
"I love this area, especially this town and county," Schuler said. "This is where I have worked for the 18 years before retiring from my previous employment last May and now I want to build a business once again."
His credentials include memberships in Sebring Sunrise Rotary Club, Florida Surveying and Mapping Society and the Georgia Surveying and Mapping Society. Schuler is registered in both Florida and Georgia.
