LAKE PLACID -- Highlands County's own Nashville recording star Tommy Brandt will be in concert at 10:45 a.m. today at the Leisure Lakes Baptist Church. Brandt has delighted groups across America with his country gospel music.
Called by many "the heart and voice" of today's Christian Country Music, Brandt has been awarded the 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 Male Vocalist of the Year in "Inspirational Country Music." He has had 11 No. 1 songs on the music charts and has performed on some of the largest stages and churches across America.
Following the morning concert, all are invited to stay for a pre-Thanksgiving "dinner on the grounds" in the church fellowship hall, featuring turkey and all the trimmings.
