SEBRING -- A local man was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital after his motorcycle rear-ended a truck on U.S. 27 Friday night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, 49-year-old Micael M. Winker of Sebring was southbound on U.S. 27 at 11:30 p.m. on a 1983 Harley Davidson when he hit the rear left side of a 2008 Ford F-150 being driven by Ricky Borkowski, 28, of Okeechobee.
The motorcycle slid 200 feet before coming to a stop. Winker was wearing his helmet, and the report said it is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
