SEBRING --The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency's (CRA) Downtown Sebring Monthly Promotional Campaign celebrates December's theme "Shop, Wrap & Roll."

From incredible 'Buy Downtown Sebring' shopping deals, to free gift wrapping on Dec. 14 to a live concert by the California Toe Jam Band to the area's largest holiday light display Carousel of Lights, there are a lot of fun events happening in Downtown Sebring this month.

Dec. 8 and 15: Zumba Fitness in the Park

Join us in Downtown Sebring's Sadie Kahn Park (on North Ridgewood Drive, two blocks off Circle Park) for a free Zumba fitness class taught by a certified Zumba Instructor starting at 10 a.m. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that's moving millions of people, of all fitness levels, toward joy and health. Sponsored by South Florida State College.

Dec. 1-28: Carousel of Lights

Enjoy the area's largest display of Christmas lights every evening from 6-9 p.m. in Circle Park. Nightly visits and photos with Santa and children's carnival games. A comical holiday puppet show and a computerized light show repeat during the nightly event. Admission is free.

Dec. 7: 'Journey Stories' exhibit

The Highlands Museum of the Arts (MOTA), located at 351 W. Center Ave. behind the library next to Highlands Little Theater, will host the Opening Reception of the Journey Stories exhibit, from 5-7 p.m.. Refreshments and a sneak peak at the exhibit will be available. Call 385-6682 or visit www.HighlandsArtLeague.org/. The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 19.

Dec. 7: Christmas Parade

Sebring's Christmas parade is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by Heartland Young Professionals Inc. The parade route will start on the Sebring Parkway at Shontee Avenue and will run south on North Ridgewood Drive, around the Circle, to South Commerce Ave.; ends at McClain Lane/Firemen's Field.

Dec. 8: Crazy Pepper Chili Cookoff

Join the Rotary Club of Highlands County from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Circle Drive and N. Commerce St. for the Second Annual Crazy Pepper Chili Cookoff. Admission $5/person; Entry Fee $50/team. Visit www.RotaryChili.com/.

Dec. 8: Saturday Night Cruise

Held the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., cruisers come from near and far to Sebring's Downtown Circle to see classic cars, listen to live entertainment and enjoy good food. Visit www.SebringCruise.com/.

Dec. 14: 'Shop, Wrap & Roll Stroll'

From 5-8 p.m. on the second Friday in December, enjoy strolling historic Downtown Sebring and shopping in its eclectic mix of boutiques, art galleries and vintage stores while enjoying live rock and roll and holiday oldies music by the California Toe Jam Band, the Carousel of Lights, and refreshments served in select stores. Dec. 29-30: HLT presents 'Blend'

Blend is the acappella quartet that brings back all of those fun loving memories of the '50s and '60s with a twist of fun. You'll be amazed at the unbelievable sound and sight while four young men take you back with songs such as "Come, Go With Me" and "In the Still of the Night."
