AVON PARK -- City hall staff plan on donning aprons and serving a holiday feast Friday afternoon from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Community Center, 310 W. Main St.
This is the third year city employees reach out to residents struggling in the economy, especially to children with special needs. The meal is a gift.
All city staff will be serving, including Mayor Sharon Schuler.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are stopping by for a visit with a few surprises for the young.
Volunteers are welcome. Cooks are plentiful, Sgt. Brian Robinson said. "Serving and greeting is what we need."
Call 452-4403 for more information.
