SEBRING -- Holiday season is in full swing and the Highlands County YMCA is ready to celebrate Christmas with its annual Christmas at the Y event. Santa and fun will be awaiting youngsters at the local YMCA Friday and Saturday.
Everything from bounce houses to sno cones will be available for kids, and the kids at heart, to enjoy. The annual event promotes community and family togetherness in a Christian and relaxed atmosphere.
A new addition to this year's event will be live entertainment by some of the area's most well-known groups and musicians.
Michelle Cathey, Justus Martin, the Wacaster Family and Nala Price will all take the stage throughout the two evenings to provide a musical treat for guests. Christmas carols, traditional holiday songs and contemporary music are all on the playlist.
There will also be bounce slides, games, arts and crafts, storytelling, candy and concessions.
Santa will also be at the YMCA providing a few 'Ho, ho, hos' as well as free photos. The event will be from 6-9 p.m. both nights. Admission is $2 per person. Contact the Highlands County YMCA at 382-9622.
