SEBRING - Wednesday action in the Sebring 60s Softball League had the Alan Jay Red Sox winning out over the Fairmount Services Angels21-17.
Leading the attack for the Red Sox were Frank Lantz, JR Reed and Bill Allicot all with four hits.
Harry Bell chipped in with three hits, while Rudy Pribble got the win on the mound.
The Angels hitters were lead by Jim Radcliff, John Miller, Steve Blazing and JC Brown with three hits each.
Geo Lavoie and Mel Gross two hits each and Don Cunningham had the only home-run of the game.
The other diamond had the Independent White Sox upending the undefeated VFW 4300 Cubs 16-9.
The White Sox were lead by Ed Lindberg's four hits while John Jeffrey and Riccardo Enfelis tallied three hits each.
They both had bases-loaded clearing doubles.
Chuck Fluharty and Craig Sutliff also had three hits each.
The losing Cubs had Boom-Boom Buja with four hits, three of which were doubles.
Gene Phillips three hits with Todd Martin, Don Dobbert, Dan Webb and Bill Scarse each having a pair of base-knocks.
VFW 4300 and Independent are tied after the second week with 3-1 records.
In Monday action, the Independent White Sox beat the Fairmount Services Angels 13-10.
Hitting stars for the White Sox were Bob Roth with three hits (double and triple), Dick Ostrech and Tom McNally also with three hits, the latter with a triple.
Fairmount Services stars where Jim Morgan and Curt Brown with three hits apiece.
Jim Radcliff added two doubles, Don Cunningham had two hits and Steve Blazing added a triple.
The other game had VFW 4300 over the AlanJay Red Sox 19-13.
The Ccubs were lead by Don Dobbert, who went 4-for-4, giving him 12 straight hits to start season.
Also, John "Boom-Boom" Buja had three hits, including a triple, and Brian Balcombe added three hits as well.
Earl Richardson rapped out two hits and Gary Tankersley had a triple.
The losing Red Sox stars were Dennis Mitchell with three hits, including a double, JR Reed, Bill Allicot and Kyle Saunders also added three hits apiece.
