Editor:
I want to commend you for your recent article regarding the Circle Theater and especially your comments regarding Kevin Roberts. I, among his many friends, enjoyed seeing some praises sung about him and his accomplishments.
He is indeed "a dreamer, catalyst, diplomat and pest" and it took every one of those qualities to bring into existence such things as the Champion for Children Advocacy Center, the Avon Park Youth Academy, the Kinsey Cox Fund and all the many other programs and facilities that we now have due to Kevin's leadership. Kevin is correct is saying that others were involved in making things happen, but the truth is not many of those accomplishments would now exist without Kevin's enthusiasm and leadership and persistent drive to attain his goals.
So let us take our hats off to Kevin for all that he has brought into our county for the benefit of Highlands County children. Those of us who love children and want to improve their lives are so grateful for Kevin's passion to make things here better for our children.
I have no doubt that the Circle Theater will just be one more accomplishment in the many Kevin has already on his list; thank you Kevin for all your dedication and hard work in making Highlands County a better place for our children.
