Editor:
In today's edition you have a story concerning tearing down a stone and fence wall located on a private property.
I think this is criminal. From the photo, it appears to be in good condition. It is obviously an old fence. Perhaps even historic.
It makes no sense to tear down the fence while only offering the owner $1,000.
I do not blame the owner for fighting the city on this. I certainly would.
