Peck is choice for office

Editor:

I met a just retired teacher of Highlands County schools and found out she's running for our new superintendent of schools. She has large ideas to improve our county school scores, use a carrot and stick for truancy, and many other workable ideas - including using 25 percent of her salary to hire more teachers - all within our budget.

How about a town hall to discuss issues and get ideas from the community? We can't be apethetic about this because our kid's futures are depending on us to help.

You can go to www.electpeck.com; see what she has planned and meet her outside the polls in August. I sincerely feel Roberta Peck can lead us to a much improved and enjoyable outcome for our students and teachers in our county.
