Crown Pointe provides good care

Editor:

For those that are looking for care for the right place for their parents or spouse whether for assisted living or memory care there is a place where the care is excellent.

After my father became ill our family went through the stress of dealing with two local nursing homes where the care was sub-standard. When he was well enough that he no longer needed constant care, but due to memory problems could no longer live by himself, we went looking for an assisted living facility.

Very few in Highlands County have a section for those that are memory impaired and we found the best one.

Crown Pointe Assisted Living on Sun 'N Lake Boulevard made a difference for all of us. My father was so very happy there and all of his children were relieved to see him being cared for so well. Often when I visited he was too busy to chat as an activity was going on that he did not want to miss. We no longer had to see him sitting with his head down, in soiled clothing and mumbling incoherently as he was in the nursing homes.

We lost my father, Raymond R. Kane, in October due to na accidental fall but it eases my mind to know that he was so very happy the last few months of his life and Crown Pointe was there for him when I could not be.
