I will make this short. Is it a bonus or the bone? More than $200,000 for bonus money to people who are drawing a paycheck? Shades of present and past county officials.
Why give a bonus to people who draw a paycheck? Why not hire 10 workers to give some relief to at least 10 families or more. Most county (employees) have two paychecks coming in to their homes, so let the people in charge bring some cheer for some veterans or people who have not had a check.
We need to start kicking these non-caring people out of the positions they hold when not in the best interest of the people of the county. We have a very high unemployment rate here, so 10 people, look how much that would help even if the job just lasted one year, then they can get unemployment and might be saving homes.
Wake up county.
