AVON PARK -- Avon Park High School Culinary Arts has Spirit Card Sale going on for $5. This is their 16th Annual Spirit Card sale. Cardholders receive special discounts at 19 different businesses for one full year! Dec. 1 2012 until Nov. 30, 2013.

SEBRING -- Highlands Social Dance Club will be dancing to music by Buddy Canova from 7-9:30 p.m. today. Free dance lessons from 6:30-7 p.m. by Bill and Shirley Ringo.

Forest Service has trees for Christmas
FROSTPROOF -- Lake Wales Ridge State Forest - Florida's Forest Service will have its third annual Sand Pine Christmas Tree sale at Arbuckle Tract Rucks Dairy Road and School Bus Road on the following dates and times:
- Saturday and Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- On these two Saturdays, anyone interested should meet the State Forest representative at the McLean cabin prior to cutting trees.
- Dec. 17-21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. - For this week, anyone interested should meet the State Forest representative at state forest headquarters prior to cutting trees to obtain a special use permit.
Sand Pine trees are 15 feet or less in height; bring your own hand saw. The cost is $10 per tree.

Zumba in the Park classes to be held
SEBRING -- Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what the Zumba program is all about. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that's moving millions of people, of all fitness levels, toward joy and health.
And now you can enjoy these classes for free in Downtown Sebring's Sadie Kahn Park (two blocks off the Circle on North Ridgewood Drive) with a certified Zumba instructor sponsored by South Florida State College.
Classes will be held at 10 a.m. on the next three Saturdays - Dec. 1, 8 and 15.

Resurrection Lutheran Church has Nativity display
AVON PARK -- The second annual Christmas Nativity display will be held Saturday and Sunday at Resurrection Lutheran Church.
The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Burke Fellowship Hall behind the church at 324 E. Main at Memorial Drive in Avon Park.
All are invited to enjoy the historic and unique Nativity displays. Refreshments will be available and a free will offering will be accepted but not required.
Sebring's holiday festivities begin Saturday
SEBRING -- The area's largest Christmas lighting display can be seen at Downtown Sebring's Christmas Carousel of Lights on the Circle from 6-9 p.m. Saturday and continuing through Dec. 28. Nightly visits and photos with Santa and children's carnival games. A comical holiday puppet show and a computerized light show repeat during the nightly event. Admission is free.
On Dec. 7, the Heartland Young Professionals Inc. presents the annual Sebring Christmas parade that will begin at 7 p.m. The parade route will start on the Sebring Parkway at Shontee Avenue and will run south on North Ridgewood Drive, around the Circle, to South Commerce Avenue. It ends at McClain Lane by Firemen's Field.

AMVETS have Road Kill Grill set
SEBRING - AMVETS Post 21 will have Road Kill Grill from 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Karaoke with Mega Soundz from 6-9 p.m. Pizza will be available.
