In protest of Swamp Hammock
Imagine 46 outdoor activities on 1,134 acres in the heart of ranches, native wildlife, hammocks and wetlands, fireworks, mud-bogging, beer vendors, drive-in movie theater and concert stage to seat 1,000, rifle range and a helicopter pad, wow! How will the country roads endure this amount of traffic? The roads barely handle sod trucks.
What will happen to our peaceful and noise-free life? Lord, help the native wildlife and ranchers promote Gabe White, a native and Kennedy have no concerns or integrity.
Are the planning and zoning commissions stupid or ignorant? Why would they recommend this horrible outdoor project to the county commission for approval? Folks, you'd better mark your calendars for the Tuesday, Feb. 26 meeting.
This could become a reality. Please protest against the project. Show up and voice your opinion to the commissioners.

Or choose another piece of property that is over in the busy area that is around Hwy 27, or near the airport, or near the bombing range. Why choose a peaceful, quiet community for this with very few roads when you could put it on one of the many properties available that are right on 27?
Not Now! (by: Blindman - 2/1/2013)
Four-wheeling is really cool, it's in the blood of many county residents, but it's unfair to turn peaceful grounds into a circus around your neighbors. Commissioners please pass on this for now and revisit it n the future. Once the Heartland Parkway construction starts, in maybe 10 years, the Skippers should be about ready to cash in on their land and Swamp Hammock's time will come.
