Mugs 'n Jugs has plans to open in Sebring

By SAMANTHA GHOLAR

SEBRING -- Sports fanatics may have a real reason to cheer soon. The Mugs 'n Jugs chain is eyeing a Sebring location.

"We are so excited to be coming to your area...we definitely have a great story to share. I will be in touch with you as soon as our deal is finalized...Thanks, The Mugs Team," an email from Shay at mugsnjugssebring@gmail.com said in response to the News-Sun's inquiry about the potential opening of a franchise in Sebring.

There is already a Facebook page up for the Sebring location with "coming soon" messages and a link to an employment application.

Determining what a Mugs 'n Jugs establishment is isn't very difficult --it's all in the name. The sports bar and grill is one of the "breastaurants" that have become popular over the last two decades. With Hooters (the one that started it all), Tilted Kilt and Wing Houses going up nationwide faster than customers can get in the door, Mugs 'n Jugs is hoping to cash in on the trend.

Mugs 'n Jugs has two establishments already in place, one in Clearwater and one in Port Richey.

According to the company's website, menu items include everything from chicken wings to salads, sandwiches to pasta. Mugs 'n Jugs has eared the title of No. 1 wings in Tampa Bay for the past few years, the website says.

The establishment houses numerous televisions for customers to enjoy games of the pro and college sports. Mugs 'n Jugs also highlights UFC matches regularly. Karaoke takes place at the two Pinellas County locations.

The Mugs 'n Jugs establishments are geared towards sports fans, but are set up to take care of family and kids as well. Tuesday nights are Family nights at the Pinellas locations and the menu offers free items for even the smallest sports fans.

Information regarding the establishment can be found on their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/Mugs-N-Jugs-Sebring-FL/277154009008061/ or online at www.mugstogo.com/.

sounds great buttttt  (by: Richard Leclair  -   2/27/2012)

all the old people that dont even go out to eat are gonna protest it and give it bad reviews. they dont remember that at one point in time they were young whipper snappers too.

NO, NO, NO  (by: CJ  -   2/23/2012)

We do not need another sports bar in this city. We are hoping you will NOT succeed.

another ronchie "sports" bar is what you will here  (by: nichole  -   1/24/2012)

have you ever been to this town? this will never happen and if it does..it will not last here. cowboys and shooters are allready pushing the envelope here. lol

Anything with "Jugs" in it's name  (by: Rusty Shackleford  -   1/17/2012)

Am I the only one that forsees an outburst of protest by the thumpers judging this establishment by it's name?

Cowboy's closing  (by: go home  -   1/16/2012)

So I guess Cowboy's is closing if Mugs n Jugs are looking at that site. Mixed emotions about that - never had good service at Cowboy's but hate to see a local business go.

Hoping for the best  (by: RebelChic  -   1/15/2012)

We use to have a great sports bar in Duffers, but it has gone way down hill. Raw pizza, changed the wing recipe, service sucks, and no deals for us "regulars" only the snowbirds. Hopefully this new place will be a great alternative

Another sports bar  (by: Jim  -   1/13/2012)

We have other so called sports bars in this county but a quality establishment is needed. I wish them luck.

New Jobs  (by: good new  -   1/13/2012)

sounds great hoping this brings new job's in our area.
