Ryan Dale Jeffs, 26, was arrested by the Sebring Police Department as he exited the 24-hour Walgreens at 3027 US 27 South at 3:51 a.m. with his pockets full of drugs, an arrest report said. Jeffs was charged with possession of synthetic narcotics with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, possession of amphetamines with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, robbery with a weapon and felony damage to property. According to the night pharmacist, Jeffs approached the pharmacist and told her he had a gun and demanded she fill his blue Walgreens shopping basket with the drug Photramine, a prescription strength diet aid, and "Oxy," referencing Oxycodone. He reportedly told her "not to ask questions." The pharmacist escaped Jeffs, who had jumped the counter, and activated the store alarm as she left via a rear door. Jeffs began stuffing prescription drugs into his pants and coat pockets, including 500 pills of lorzepam, two bottles with 70 pills of Adderall, two bottles of alprazolam with 499 pills and 500 pills, two bottles of morphine sulfate with 112 pills total and other various bottles, including some with methadone hydrochloride and Valium, the report said. Jeffs dropped the pistol he used before leaving the store. It was later discovered that it was a silver Marksman .177 caliber BB gun. As Jeffs exited the store, he was confronted and handcuffed by the SPD, according to the report. Jeffs was arrested in 2007 for failure to appear on a felony charge, according to Highlands County Sheriff's Office records. Jeffs remained in the Highlands County Jail on $38,000 bond at press time. ![]() Small Banner AdsBusiness DirectoryFeatured PhysicianFeatured AutoFeatured AttorneyMarketplace AdsTile Ads
