Cheerleaders help cancer survivor celebrate 'birthday'
Special to the News-Sun
SEBRING -- At her recent fourth Survivor Birthday celebration, Cindy Maxon's good friends, Bobbi Berry and John Neal, presented a framed photo gift from the Berry family and the Sebring High School Varsity Cheerleading squad in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Berry had the award-winning cheerleaders, who were recently Disney bound, take time to pose with a "Go Cindy" sign and their pink pompoms for a memorable expression of love to cheer Maxon on her breast cancer journey.
"This was such a touching share the love and pay it forward gesture that my husband, OJ Scott announced my birthday celebration and the generous and thoughtful gift on the radio, too. I feel that the youth of today deserve the kudos for their time and effort so I wanted to share with the community. They are an inspiration!" Maxon said.
