Two defendants in Doty case enter plea deals
By CHRISTOPHER TUFFLEY
SEBRING -- Two of the suspects arrested in July in the murder of Aaron Doty were sentenced Monday afternoon following a plea deal agreement between the prosecution and the defense. Both women were charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Adriana Rodriguez pleaded guilty to the charge of destroying evidence -- she cleaned blood off the walls at the site of the party where Doty was beaten to death on June 10.
Nicole Hebert, 20, pleaded no contest to the charge of transporting the two alleged murderers out of the county.
Rodriguez's sentence is the lesser of the two and included no jail time. She will be on probation for five years and give 250 hours of community service.
Hebert's sentence is 364 days jail time, including time served. She has been in jail since July 10 of last year. She will be on probation for nine years following her release.
Both also have financial obligations to the state, including $2,500 fines.
Because alcohol and drugs were a factor in the Doty killing, both young women are prohibited from using alcohol, illegal drugs and medications without a doctor's prescription or entering a place where alcohol or illegal drugs are sold or associating with those who do.
They are subject to warrantless searches and drug tests during their probation. Any violation of probation results in incarceration. If Hebert slips any time during the nine years, she will spend 15 years in prison.
On the other hand, if the women turn their lives around they may have their probation reduced later. Should Rodriguez complete her probation successfully, she may have her record expunged.
As a part of the plea agreement, both women agree to cooperate fully with the prosecution and testify at the trial for the two men who allegedly killed Doty.

Just remember the police are after the bigger picture. They want the person who actually committed the act. The plea agreement says they will testify against the people who did this

These two women prolly got no idea how lucky they are to not serve time in prison for their involvement. They have a long way to go to put this all behind them. Unfortunately the Doty Family will never be able to fully recover. The girls better be smarter now than they were before or they are gonna miss their child bearing years while rotting in the can.

First of all, before you come on here trying to speak about how people are quick to judge another, you need to go back and reread your paragraph. You sound like a complete idiot who doesn't know how to spell or make sense! I wouldn't doubt if you were at that party helping with some of this stuff going on, since you want to put your two senses in. Second of all, I agree with the others this government system is a complete mess up. Aaron sat there and took a awful beating and was burnt alive!!! My cousin didn't deserve that not one bit. We all make mistakes in life and I'm sure he might have gotten into some sort of disagreement that night with those scumbags, but he didn't deserve to go threw that. I can't believe that these girls are getting off so easy with only probation! Adriana needs to sit in there and rot with the others, she is just as innocent! Accessory to a murder!!!! Hello she helped clean up his blood.

Just remember the terms of thier probations and if they violate they will serve full sentences. NOW everyone will be watching them everywhere they go and call in and rat them out if they step out of line. More than one way to skin a cat.
They'll be in jail soon (by: MEH - 3/26/2013)
If she's going to marry someone who did this kind of things, Nicole will sure be back in jail soon.

You people are quick to judge. I personally know everyone in tjis vase. Adriana is the only one who is innocent. Anyone who knows the girl knows she cpuldnt even disect a frog in high school bc it grossed her out, let alone clean human blood. She had no real alliby after leaving early from the party so she's getting nailed by the state. Why do u think theyre allowing her to expunge at the end of this? The state has a heart sometimes. Nicole on the other hand has always been up to no good as well as the others.

I CANNOT believe that these two females only got probation. Yet people who are robbing stores or each other or are accessory to a robbery ,get 5-15 years in jail. But being an accessory to murder, you ONLY get PROBATION!!! REALLY!!! what the heck is wrong with this government system..you government people need to get your system straight cause u guys make NO SENSE when it comes to charging or punishing those who commit a crimes...sorry to say but this government that we have is SORRY...Yet if one of the "government" people got taken down, the person who did the crime or the people who just sat there and watched, would immediately get 20 yrs to life.. so unorder to get a great justice we have to be apart of the government???? COMPLETE NONSENSE.. All the government people need to get their regulations straight and come up with reasonable punishments for crimes.
