Banner Adpublished: Friday, September 07, 2012 HCSO seeks armed robbery suspects News-Sun staff SEBRING -- Highlands County Sheriff's Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Circle K convenience Store at the corner of Jacklin Avenue and Hammock Road. According to a press release, two masked men entered the store -- one armed with a gun and the other holding a machete. The suspect with the gun reportedly jumped the counter, hit the clerk in the face with the gun and demanded he open the cash drawer. The clerk complied and the suspects grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out. The victim was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization. The two suspects were described as Hispanic or black males. One of them was about 5-foot-8 with a medium build and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The other was tall with a thin build.
