Road closed for 5K

LAKE PLACID - From 8 a.m. to about 9 a.m. Saturday the Lake Placid High School will be having its Cross Country 5K Race. The race will involve traffic being directed into the eastbound lane of Interlake Boulevard at Tangerine Avenue to Jackson Road with Lake Placid Police officers acting as flag people at each point.

Runners will use the westbound lane and the lanes will be separated by cones.

The race will cross over to Tangerine Drive and delay traffic using Tangerine Drive. Officers will be on post to allow traffic through as soon as possible.

The race will cross Interlake Boulevard southbound from Lake Rachard Drive onto Green Dragon Drive and finish at the Lake Placid High School Track Field on Green Dragon Drive.

Lake Placid Police officers will be at all points to direct traffic.

Since most participants in the race are runners traffic delays will be shortened.
