SEBRING — The District 10 Medical Examiner has released the cause of death in the Aaron Doty case that occurred on June 10. Autopsy findings specify that Doty died as a result of multiple injuries; however, toxicology analysis indicates that Doty  was alive at the time he was set on fire.  The toxicology review further showed that that there were no narcotics or illegal drugs in his blood; there was an elevated blood alcohol content level.

"The State Attorney is reviewing the most recent findings and information from the Medical Examiner and a Grand Jury will be scheduled for mid-October."

“We spoke to Aaron's family today and without a doubt this is heartbreaking news for the family to receive,” says Sheriff Susan Benton.

Doty  (by: concerned Grandfather  -   10/17/2012)

If the majority had the vote like the minorty does we would
would have the Bible in schools.
I feel thar all those that stood by and did nothing should receive the same punishment as the killers get.

Just Punishment  (by: JRT  -   9/23/2012)

These two scum bags and the three fools who helped them, deserve no less than what they did.
Simple Justice, Get me the baseball bat.

My heart aches  (by: B.Jean  -   9/23/2012)

This is a tragedy for all families concerned. Doty family my prayers are with you as you try and deal with all of this. Also, my thoughts are with the parents of all others involved. Heartless acts will forever change lives. Very heart breaking situation. All those at that party need to be charged too. No human compassion.

JUST REWARD  (by: SICK !   -   9/22/2012)

These monsters need to fried, just as they ALL did to the victim. They are worse than animals. Even Hitler was more humane than these dirt bags. They need their just rewards.

Death Penalty is needed  (by: Angry  -   9/22/2012)

The little punk pieces of garbage who did this SHOULD get the death penalty!!! They both deserve to FRY! Not lethal injection, either- bring Old Sparky out of retirement.

See that justice is served  (by: SunNLaker  -   9/22/2012)

I think the two lads accused should be set free in public.
Just announce well in advance in the newspapers where and when...
I'll be there.

Doty  (by: Wesha939  -   9/22/2012)

I believe that ALL of those involved should be held for MURDER..They all contributed to it. NOONE called for help no one tried to stop the idiots from doing it, my god they helped them..??? We need to stop patting people on the hands and telling them bad, don't do that again and get TOUGH on these idiots..In my opinion they should all have LIFE or the death penalty for the two thats hands caused this..MURDER is just that...and Aaron didn't have any RIGHTS, so WHY are we giving the murders that option??? They killed him, THey burned him ALIVE, they should DIE..End of story..

brokenheart  (by: mike robinson  -   9/21/2012)

A heartbreaking thing occured on that dreadful day and the death penality would be to easy. There should be a law that states the family get to choose the punishment for these worth-less people we have to support now. Aaron was an amazing young man, a man any father would be proud of. This would be such a better place having our youth grow up with his mentality. I miss him, and will always see his beautiful smile.

I agree.  (by: A mom from Avon Park  -   9/21/2012)

This makes me absolutely sick! It also makes me madder than hell! I hope the HCSD hurries up with the investigation, I hope to see more arrests in this case. I also hope the D/A or prosecution can change the charges so that these punk a** kids can get what's coming to them.

how alful my heart goes out to the family  (by: Ronnie  -   9/21/2012)

this should be first degree murder and with the death penaity it makes me so upset

OMG!!!  (by: foodforthought  -   9/21/2012)

Alive while burning to death, how horrible! How unjust that the killers will not get the death penalty, sad indeed.

Appauled  (by: Tiffany  -   9/21/2012)

I have never been so appauled. So disappointed inthe children in our county. This young boy could have been saved multiple times by many people and yet he was'nt. We need to do something about the way our young ones are growing up, the people they are turning out to be. It's very very sad and it makes me scared for my neice and nephew. We need more GOD in our schools. He's the only one that can help us with this situation.
