If anyone listed here is acquitted or has charges dropped, they can bring in proof of such decision or mail a copy to the paper and the News-Sun will be happy to report that information. The following people were booked into the Highlands County Jail on Thursday, Jan. 7:

Jason Joseph Bareno, 33, of Sebring, registered as a criminal reference possession of a controlled substance.

Cristo Enrique Bermudez, 25, of Avon Park, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Bobby Butler, 27, of Avon Park, was arrested on warrants for attempted murder in the second degree, shooting into an occupied vehicle and throwing a deadly missile at a building.

Ashley Lavern Campbell, 25, of Sebring, was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession and or use of narcotic equipment, driving while license suspended.

Leslie Minyon Chitwood, 31, of Sebring, was charged with illegal use of credit cards, grand theft, petit theft and use/possession of ID of another person.

Carlos Donis Garcia, 35, of Miami, was charged with failure to appear reference knowingly driving with license suspended or revoked.

Rachelle Mamie Gibson, 18, of Avon Park, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant reference criminal mischief.

Raymond Paul Hartley, 25, of Sebring, was charged with illegal use of credit cards, theft of $300 but less than $10,000, petit theft and use/possession of ID of another person.

Terry Kay Igel, 51, of Avon Park, was charged with petit theft.

Edward Frederick Jones, 58, of Avon Park, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession and or use of narctoic and possession of marijuana.

Jessie Miranda, 47, of Bowling Green, was charged with sexual assault on a victim 12 years of age or older with special conditions.

Mark Dwayne Pacetti, 49, of Sebring, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession and or use of narcotic equipment.

Robert Allen Ray, 47, of Sebring, was charged with fraud to obtain $20,000 less than $50,000, falsely identify self as a contractor, use or possess an ID of another person and grand theft of $10,000 or more.

Bobby Lewis Thompkins, 37, of Sebring, was charged with DUI.

Angel Luis Vega, 38, of Avon Park, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked.

Louis Timothy Wells, 38, of Avon Park, was charged with two counts of contempt of court reference withholding support.
